Die hier gesammelten 22 Aufsätze (drei in deutscher, 19 in englischer Sprache) spiegeln die Schwerpunkte wider, denen sich François Bovon seit Jahren widmet: die Erforschung des Neuen Testaments (insbesondere Lukasevangelium und Apostelgeschichte) und der Alten Kirche sowie der Apokryphen und der Beziehung zwischen beiden. 21 der Beiträge sind zwischen 1967 und 1997 verstreut erschienen, ein Beitrag wurde eigens für diesen Sammelband verfasst. Eight articles in this volume deal with Luke and Acts, and their coverage of this subject ranges from a research report to detailed studies such as an analysis of Luke's practice of quotation. Nine of the essays focus on early Christian Apocrypha and the ancient church; five essays deal with theological topics at the crossroads between the New Testament and the Apocrypha. The essays are written in German and English or have been translated from French into English for this collection. The book is divided into three chapters: Part One: Luke-Acts.
