The Arca di San Domenico

The Arca di San Domenico is the richly sculpted tomb of the founder of the Dominican Order. The book provides us with an account of the tomb's construction, its place in the history of style, and the philosophical and theological concepts that shaped its final appearance. Several new interpretations of the monument's meaning are presented, and solutions to certain of the tomb's mysteries are offered.
