Harrison, Richard J.: Majaladares (Spain)

A Bronze Age Village of Farmers, Hunters and Herders. One fourth of the Late Copper and Bronze Age settlement of Majaladares was excavated in 1990-1994 and 1999. The aim was to reconsider the model of intensification in Bronze Age economy. In doing so 8 phases (Neolithic - Copper Age: timber houses, 2300-2100 - hiatus - EBA: timber hall, hoard, 2100-1900 - hiatus - LBA: timber houses, 1400-1200 - long hiatus - Visigoths, 5th century) were detected.
